Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain average consuming current of an inverter from increasing if power supply voltage increases, when an output average current Iout of a charge pump circuit is constant.
SOLUTION: This drive control circuit for charge pump circuit having a plurality of drive stages, which boosts power supply voltage supplied to an input terminal 100 to a prescribed level and outputs it from an output terminal 200, is provided with a power supply voltage detecting means 15 which detects a power supply voltage, control means (CMP2 to CMPn, NA1 to NAn) changing the number of the drive stages of the charge pump circuit according to the detected output of a power supply voltage detecting means, and bypass means (MN1 to MNn) bypassing, to output terminal side, the output of the final drive stages according to the change in the number of the drive stages of the charge pump circuit.
