Abstract:
PURPOSE:To suppress a reduction of negative pressure of a brake booster produced by the variation of the operational condition of a braking unit, and to prevent the generation of shortage of braking force, by starting the drive of a negative pressure pump by a driving means when the braking unit is converted from an operating condition to a nonoperating condition. CONSTITUTION:In a device in which a specific negative pressure is fed in a brake booster 10 by a negative pressure pump 20 driven by an electric motor 21, a negative pressure sensor 31 to detect this negative pressure, and a brake switch 32 to detect the brake operating condition are arranged. And the electric motor 21 is driven through a relay 36 by the first output signal generated when the brake unit is converted from the operating condition to the nonoperating condition, in a driving control unit 30, and the operation of the negative pressure pump 20 is started. The electric motor 21 is controlled to stop by the second output signal generated when the negative pressure exceeds the preset upper side limit value. In such a way, the reduction of the negative pressure (consumption of the negative pressure) when the booster 10 is not operated is suppressed.
