An engine output Pe is calculated by using an acceleration operation amount θ, a vehicle speed V, and an engine output map 36. An allowable maximum engine output Pemax is calculated by using a CVT input shaft rotating speed ωi, a CVT output shaft rotating speed ωo, and an allowable maximum engine output map 37. When the engine output Pe exceeds the allowable maximum engine output Pemax, a signal is outputted from a signal output part 31 to an engine control part 38 for decreasing the output of an engine 2. The engine output control part 38 decreases the engine output Pe via a fuel supply rate adjusting mechanism 39. Thereby, a CVT transmitting power PCVT is regulated.
