Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject system designed to prevent cut yarns in a yarn breakage from entangling on a traverse apparatus.
SOLUTION: This drive control system has such a mechanism that, when a sensor S1 senses a yarn breakage during yarn winding process, the link between a traverse controller and a spindle controller is cut off to effect enabling motors M1 and M2 to be independently controlled, respectively, and the motor M1 is immediately put to free run mode, thereby the motor M1 is halted in several seconds (normally, 2 to 3 s or so): Alternatively, it is also possible to be set in such a way that there is provided a mechanical or electric brake BR to forcedly halt a traverse apparatus T, the motor M1 is put to free-run mode and, concurrently, the traverse apparatus T is braked and, in this case, the traverse apparatus T can be halted in a shorter time (within about 0.5 s).
