Abstract:
To provide a drive part of a pan head device, which has braking force control means giving braking force with arbitrary timing and magnitude so that the increase in power consumption can be suppressed and the motion unevenness during pan-tilt operation can be reduced.
A drive controller which performs pan-tilt drive on the basis of a driving signal in a pan head device includes a drive part which engages with a driven part and which drives the driven part on the basis of the driving signal, and a braking part braking the driven part. The drive controller switches between a mode of braking the driven part and a mode of not braking the driven part on the basis of the driving signal.
