Abstract:

To provide a drive controller of a rotating electrical machine, with which a temperature of a permanent magnet included in the rotating electrical machine can highly precisely be estimated, and to provide a vehicle with the drive controller.

AC motors M1 and M2 loaded on a hybrid car 200 are motors different in structures (different in axial lengths). The controller 30 estimates the temperatures of first and second magnets and controls a drive part (IPM35) based on the temperatures of the first and second magnets. The controller 30 estimates the temperature of the first magnet by using a first parameter (temperature of cooling oil of the AC motors M1 and M2). The controller 30 estimates the temperature of the second magnet by using a temperature of a stator of the AC motor M2. The temperature of the magnet can be more precisely estimated by selecting a suitable parameter from a plurality of parameters on states of the AC motors M1 and M2 based on the difference in the structures of the AC motors M1 and M2.
