To more efficiently displace an object to be moved.
A drive device includes a connected body to which a piezoelectric element 42 and a transmission shaft 44 are connected, a case 50 with which the transmission shaft 44 is directly or indirectly engaged so that it can be slid along the direction of the length of the transmission shaft 44, and a driving voltage generation circuit that generates a driving voltage to be applied to the piezoelectric element 42 based on a pulse signal with a duty ratio of 10% or below. The driving voltage thus generated based on a pulse signal with a duty ratio of than 10% or below is applied to the piezoelectric element. The piezoelectric element is expanded and contracted in a short time by narrowing the pulse width of pulses included in the pulse signal. As a result, it is possible to efficiently displace an object to be moved and expand the frequency band of pulse signals. It is advisable to fix the object to be moved to the connected body.
