Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a driver of motor compressor for a car air conditioner suitable for a hybrid automobile having a plurality of power sources in winch the battery capacity can be reduced. SOLUTION: A driver 15 for driving the motor compressor 17 of a car air conditioner using the voltage from a battery 19 being charged by a motor 13 driven through an engine 11 comprises a detector 23 for detecting a current IB flowing into the battery 19, a detector 25 for detecting the voltage VB of the battery 19, a detector 27 for detecting the vehicle speed vC, and an output limiting section 15c for detecting the power generating state of the motor 13 based on at least one of detected current IB, voltage VB, and vehicle speed vC and limiting the output to the motor compressor 17 to a specified level if the power generation is insufficient.
