Abstract:
To provide a drive device for an elevator capable of minimizing the size of the brake device and making the drive device thin in the radial direction.
The drive device is equipped with an electric motor device 110, an input shaft 21 rotatably driven by the electric motor device 110, and a sheave 103 wound up with a rope 104 which lifts an elevator car by the transmission of the rotation of the input shaft 121. It is equipped with a first braking device 150 to urge the braking force to the input shaft side, and a second braking device 160 to apply the braking force to the output side of the sheave.
