To provide a drive device capable of realizing highly accurate positioning control of a driven body while using a simple constitution.

The drive device comprises a regulating end 70 for regulating the movement of a driven body 152; a stepping motor 150 for driving the driven body 152 by the rotation of a rotor associated with the change of an exciting position corresponding to a pattern of exciting current; a driver 400 for supplying the exciting current to the stepping motor 150; and an original position storage 203 which preliminarily stores the exciting position corresponding to the original position of the driven body 152. The exciting position stored in the original position storage 203 advances the exciting position so that the driven body 152 comes closer to the regulating end 70, and when the driven body 152 advances its exciting position from the state regulated by the regulating end 70, the rotor is located at the exciting position to receive a magnetic force that allows the driven body 152 to move away from the regulating end 70.
