Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device for power windows wherein the occurrence of erroneous stop is prevented immediately after a driving motor M1 is started and, if anything gets caught in a moving window, that can be detected without fail.
SOLUTION: While a first timer TM1 is operating, the voltage Vins is held so that the voltage Vins is higher than a reference voltage Vc and the difference between the voltage Vins and the reference voltage Vc is equal to or larger than a first predetermined value. While a second timer TM2 is operating after the counting by the first timer TM1 is completed, the voltage Vins is monotonically lowered until the difference between the voltage Vins and the reference voltage Vc becomes a second predetermined value Vclmp. Thus, such trouble is prevented that the driving motor M1 is erroneously stopped due to current increase caused immediately after the start of the driving motor M1. If any obstacle gets caught in a moving window, it can be detected without fail.
