Abstract:
To provide a drive device for a vehicle which can use a common housing even though set widths of side members are different from each other for every model.SOLUTION: In a drive device 20 for a vehicle which comprises a motor 24 which includes a rotation shaft 26 on which a driving gear 28 is attached, a ring gear 30 which is attached to a drive shaft 34 connected via a differential gear 32 and a housing 22 in which the motor 24 is incorporated in a predetermined position and also the driving gear 28, the ring gear 30 and the differential gear 32 are incorporated and which is disposed between a pair of side members, the housing 22 is configured such that width running along an axial direction of the rotation shaft 26 is formed shorter than width running along a direction perpendicularly intersecting the rotation shaft 26 at plan view and the drive device for a vehicle is configured so as to selectively take a lateral disposition posture which the drive shaft 34 is disposed along the axial direction of the rotation shaft 26 and a longitudinal disposition posture which the drive shaft 34 is disposed along a direction perpendicularly intersecting the axial direction of the rotation shaft 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
