Abstract:
To improve regenerative efficiency in a rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A drive device 100 includes a fluid coupling 2, a transmission shaft 4, and a rotary electric machine 3. The fluid coupling 2 has a cover 21, a turbine 22, and an impeller 23. The turbine 22 is fixed to the cover 21. The impeller 23 is disposed within an outer shell composed of the cover 21 and the turbine 22. The impeller 23 is positioned opposite the turbine 22. The transmission shaft 4 extends through the outer shell of the fluid coupling 2. The transmission shaft 4 is connected to the impeller 23. The rotary electric machine 3 has a first stator 31 and a rotor 32. The first stator 31 is arranged to be non-rotatable.
