Abstract:
To provide a drive force transmission device which can suppress an increase of a size and the weight of a case for accommodating the drive force transmission device while having a constitution for reducing a variation of a drive force transmission characteristic by changing relative positions of a housing and a yoke, and its manufacturing method.SOLUTION: A drive force transmission device 1 comprises an electromagnetic coil 61, a yoke 8, a housing 2 and clutch plates 71, 72. An outside clearance S1 between an external peripheral face 81a of the yoke 8 and an external peripheral opposing face 221a of the housing 2 includes a first magnetic path clearance S11 and a second magnetic path clearance S12 in which magnetic fluxes pass, and a magnetic resistance clearance S13 between the first magnetic path clearance S11 and the second magnetic path clearance S12. A clearance interval of the magnetic resistance clearance S13 of the yoke 8 in a radial direction is larger than clearance intervals of the first magnetic path clearance S11 and the second magnetic path clearance S12, and axial widths of the first magnetic path clearance S11 and the second magnetic path clearance S12 are changed by a change of an axial position of the yoke 8 with respect to the housing 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
