Abstract:
To provide a power train arrangement for vehicle which can solve such problems of a conventional power train arrangement that the maneuverability improvement effect is reduced since a transmission being a heavy object is placed on the rear side of an axle in a vertically-installed rear-mid engine arrangement, also a trunk space and a living space are compressed, in a case of the four-wheel driving, the routing of a drive system becomes complex and the weight is increased.SOLUTION: In a mid engine arrangement, an engine is divided into two pieces and placed on both sides of a transmission, a gear box is stored between front and rear axles with the vertically-installed arrangement without compressing a living space, and a trunk space enough for the practical use can be obtained on the rear side of the rear axle. In the four-wheel driving, front and rear differentials, a propeller shaft and the output shaft of the transmission can be linearly connected, and a simple and symmetrical drive system can be realized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
