Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive mechanism suitable for a saddle-riding type electric vehicle which reduces both of a mechanical loss and an energy loss while obtaining torque necessary for drive, and can elongate a traveling distance by a battery.SOLUTION: A drive mechanism comprises wheels and a control device. The wheel comprises: a rim part; a hub part; a spoke part; a fixed core and a coil which are arranged at the surroundings of a rotating axial line of the wheel at the inside rather than a spoke connecting part of the hub part; a plurality of ferrite magnets which are arranged at intervals along the circumferential direction of the wheel at the outside rather than the fixed core; a plurality of auxiliary yoke parts which are arranged at the intervals of the ferrite magnets which are adjacent in the circumferential direction of the wheel, and rotate together with a plurality of the ferrite magnets; and back yoke parts which are arranged outside the auxiliary yoke parts. The control device supplies a current to the coil so that a phase of the current supplied to the coil is advanced with respect to a phase of an induction voltage generated at the coil by the ferrite magnets.
