To provide a drive nail capable of drawing out a nail in a short time without damaging a driven lumber and the like, having small driving resistance at the time of driving, and resisting to a large shearing load in a lateral direction.
In the drive nail 1, a head 2 formed with an engaging portion 10 capable of engaging with a rotating tool is formed on one end side of a shaft 3, and a sharp tip 4 is formed on the other end side of the shaft 3. A smooth portion 7 having no thread is formed on the head 2 side of the shaft 3, and a screw 6 having the generally same length as the length of the smooth portion 7 is formed on the sharp tip side of the shaft 3. The diameter of the smooth portion 7 is formed to be smaller than the diameter of a thread 5 of the screw 6.
