Abstract:

PURPOSE: To suppress the increase of the slip rate by allowing the slip rate to continuously increase even if drive power control is executed at the ignition timing which is calculated by using the feedback control term and subtraction- calculating the subtraction correction quantity from the ignition timing.

CONSTITUTION: A drive power controller for motorcycle 1 is equipped with an electronic control circuit 15 which receives the output signals of the first and second pulsers 2A and 2B, fore and rear wheel speed sensors 3 and 4, and a throttle sensor 7, and the ignition timing by an ignition coil 8 is controlled according to the slip rate. Accordingly, the fundamental correction quantity is set by calculating the feedback control term by using the slip rate detected at present and the slip rate detected in the preceding time, and the ignition timing at present is calculated by adding the fundamental correction quantity to the ignition timing calculated in the preceding time. In this case, the slip rate is increased continuously even if drive power control is executed, and when the value exceeds a prescribed value, the ignition timing is delayed by subtracting the subtraction correction quantity from the ignition timing at present.
