To provide a drive for driving a plurality of conveying moving bodies for rotation by means of a drive source installed on the ground, while allowing easy adjustments of the speed and direction of rotation.
The drive includes a rotating jig 10 having both a rotating shaft 13a with a drive wheel 11 secured to one end thereof and a rotating stand 13 secured to the other and a holding body 14 for rotatably supporting the rotating shaft; a conveyor 1 comprising a plurality of jig stands 4 supporting the holding bodies 14 and endlessly connected to one another for circulation, for circulating and conveying the rotating jig 10; a first drive source 2 for driving the conveyor 1; infeeding and outfeeding means 6a and 6b by which workpieces 5 to be conveyed are placed on and lowered from the rotating stand 13 on the upstream and downstream sides; a parallel drive band 32 installed parallel to the conveyor 1 at a midstream position for contacting and engaging the drive wheel 11 of the rotating jig 10; and a second drive source 9 for driving the parallel drive band 32 to circulate it and rotate the rotating shaft 13a according to the relative rotating speeds of the drive band 32 and the conveyor 1.
