To provide a drive switch system for a rotary power tool that can select drive control of a desirable push operation system or lever operation system according to work content.
A push operation system drive switch 30 for switching on when a rotary tool 14 coupled to an output shaft of an electric motor to provide work such as screw tightening is placed in contact with a work object such as a screw and then displaced or depressed, and a lever operation system drive switch 32 for switching on when a switch lever 26 arranged on a grip part of a rotary power tool is displaced or depressed, comprise respective combinations of magnets 31a and 33a and magnetic sensors 31b and 33b. The magnetic sensors are each connected to a feeding circuit of the electric motor 12. With either operation system selected, a magnetic sensing operation of the magnetic sensor of the selected operation system switches the feeding circuit on to start driving the electric motor.
