To provide a drive system, in which the change of the tension of a belt due to inertia torque variations associated with the variation in engine revolution is reduced, without using a clutch pulley, and the mountability of a generator is improved.
The two electric generators are connectively bridged by the single belt, and an excitation current of a rotor of one of the two electric generators is on/off-controlled as follows. That is, when it is turned on, a high voltage is applied to a field coil, thus accelerating the startup of generation, and when it is turned off, the current of the filed coil is made to circulate in a closed circuit between a diode resistor, thus accelerating the further attenuation of the generation compared with the case having no resistor. According to this configuration, generated torque is controlled with proper timing so as to reduce the inertia torque variation of the rotor due to the variations in the revolution, and the change of the tension of the belt is reduced.
