Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for a belt conveyor device, which adds a proper tension to an endless belt with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A drive unit for a belt conveyor device comprises: a drive pulley 33 making an endless belt travel during rotary drive by winding a rear surface of the endless belt on a return side of the endless belt; a drive motor 34 making the drive pulley rotate; and a rotating member 35 which receives a center shaft of the drive pulley by supporting the drive motor, and which is pivotally supported via a rotating member supporting shaft 43 at a position extended downward from a conveyer frame closer to a head pulley than to the drive pulley. The drive unit pulls each endless belt downward by making it receive half of the weight of the drive pulley, the drive motor and the rotating member, and adds a predetermined tension by making the rotating member rotate downward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
