Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for a hybrid vehicle that is simple in structure and saves space while avoiding high rotation of a pinion gear of a planetary gear device.SOLUTION: A drive unit 2 comprises a counter shaft 71, an engine 10, a first MG 20, a second MG 30, and a planetary gear device 40 of Ravigneaux type. The planetary gear device 40 includes a ring gear R, a pinion gear P, a carrier CA, a sun gear S1, and a sun gear S2. The pinion gear P includes: a first teeth part T1 engaged with each of the ring gear R and the sun gear S1; and a second teeth part T2 provided in a position offset in an axial direction of the pinion gear P from the first teeth part T1 and engaged with the sun gear S2. The drive unit 2 further comprises: a clutch C1 that switches a state of connection of the sun gear S1 and the engine 10; a clutch C2 that switches a state of connection of the carrier CA and the engine 10; and a brake B1 that switches a state of fixing of the sun gear S2 to a case 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
