Abstract:
To provide a drive unit which can suppress an increase of a friction and tooth hitting noise.SOLUTION: A drive unit comprises: a drive gear being a helical gear arranged at a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine; a driven shaft which can rotate in synchronization with the crankshaft; a driven gear being a helical gear which is arranged at the driven shaft, and can be geared with the drive gear; an energization part which can impart an energization force in a thrust direction to the driven gear so that faces of teeth possessed by the drive gear in a rotation direction and faces of teeth possessed by the driven gear at a side opposite to the rotation direction contact with each other; and an energization force control part for controlling the energization part so that the energization part imparts the energization force when a change rate of a rotation number of the crankshaft or a load rate of the internal combustion engine is higher than a prescribed value, and does not impart the energization force when the change rate of the rotation number of the crankshaft or the load rate of the internal combustion engine is lower than the prescribed value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
