Title:
DRIVER FOR BRUSHLESS MOTOR AND FUEL PUMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011072057
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To shorten the starting time of a brushless motor and reduce a loss in current application energy by setting a magnet rotor quickly in its initial position by initial setting regardless of differences among temperature states of each phase coil and fuel viscosity.

A driver for a brushless motor 11 used for a fuel pump rotates a magnet rotor 15 by switching the current application to each phase coil 14A-14C in order and performs an induced drive for controlling the current application to each phase coil 14A-14C based on an induced voltage generated in each phase coil 14A-14C. A driver includes a shunt resistor 16 which measures a motor current flowing in each phase coil 14A-14C and a control circuit 12. The control circuit 12 performs initial setting for controlling the current application to each phase coil 14A-14C so as to set the magnet rotor 15 into its initial position before performing the induced drive, and controls a current application duty value based on a motor current measured therefor.
