The driver circuit 5 of the liquid crystal display apparatus includes: positive D/A converters PH and PL; negative D/A converters NH and NL; a positive selector 11; and a negative selector 21. The first positive D/A converter PL operates within a first positive voltage range GND-VDD1, and outputs first positive analog voltage signals V32P-V63P by D/A converting lower bit groups D0-D4 of digital signals. The second positive D/A converter PH operates within a second positive voltage range VDD1-VDD2, and outputs second positive analog voltage signals V0P-V31P by D/A converting lower bit groups D0-D4 of digital signals. The positive selector 11 selects, in accordance with the highest bit D5 of the digital signals, either the first or the second positive analog voltage signal as the positive analog voltage signal.
