Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver circuit by which data communication between electronic devices can be made available with no limit on the number of times of communications without giving influence on the service life of batteries of the electronic devices.
SOLUTION: A changeover circuit 2 switches a state in response to a signal from a data transmission terminal TxD of a portable electronic device. A 1st data transmission circuit 4 outputs 1st and 2nd voltage signals respectively corresponding to two logical values to a data reception terminal RD of a personal computer depending on the state of the changeover circuit 2. The 1st data transmission circuit 4 obtains the 1st and 2nd voltage signals from terminals ER, SD at the side of the personal computer. A 2nd data transmission circuit 10 outputs the voltage signals obtained from the personal computer in response to the signal from the data transmission terminal SD of the personal computer to a data reception terminal RxD of the portable electronic device.
