This driver drill is formed by providing an epicyclic gear device 24 formed of several stages of epicyclic gear train 24a and 24b for transmitting the rotation of a motor to a spindle 19, reducing the number of revolutions, and a clutch device 34 for operating an internal gear of the epicyclic gear device 24 to control the torque to be transmitted from the motor to the spindle 19 in a housing 17. An internal gear 33 of the rear stage epicyclic gear train 24b is separated from an internal gear 29 of the front stage epicyclic gear train 24a, and diameter of the rear stage epicyclic gear train 24b is formed smaller than that of the front stage epicyclic gear train 24a. The clutch device 34 is arranged in the periphery of the rear stage epicyclic gear train 24b.
