To provide a driver for a rotary press for realizing a sure transmission of a high torque and realize phase adjustment of a principal driving gear line at a small construction cost by improving the driver for the rotary press.
Two neighboring middle drums 31, 32 are releasably supported by side walls 88, 89 with journals 82, 83, 84, 85. Gears 90, 91 of a gear conductor are arranged at each journal so as to be relatively pivotable. Those gears are not directly engaged with mutually. Gears of neighboring middle drums are respectively continuously engaged with middle wheel 95, 97. Gears of neighboring middle drums and middle wheels are held having an interval with respective arms 78, 79. The middle wheel is held having mutual spaces by a connection component 76. The connection component is separable, and engagement of teeth of the middle wheels can be released.
