Abstract:
To more accurately specify a driver of a vehicle by using an inexpensive on-vehicle instrument.SOLUTION: A driver specification system is configured of a portable terminal 10 such as a smartphone carried by a driver D, an on-vehicle instrument 30 such as a drive recorder mounted on a vehicle V, and a driver specification device 50 of the present embodiment, and the portable terminal 10 and the on-vehicle instrument 30 are configured to be connectable to the driver specification device 50 via various communication networks including a portable telephone network. The portable terminal 10 and the on-vehicle instrument 30 can each include a GPS receiver to acquire own position information (terminal position information, vehicle position information). When the terminal position information received from the portable terminal 10 carried by the driver D and the vehicle position information received from the on-vehicle instrument 30 mounted on the vehicle V match each other (within Nm), the driver specification device 50 of the present embodiment specifies the driver D carrying the portable terminal 10 as a driver of the vehicle V on which the on-vehicle instrument 30 is mounted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
