Abstract:
To provide a driving support device capable of achieving more improvement of accuracy in determining an approach road for an own vehicle to approach a traffic intersection.SOLUTION: A driving support device includes: a road linear shape information acquisition section for acquiring road linear shape information that indicates linear shapes of respective roads of a traffic intersection and includes information of multiple nodes; and an approach road determination section for calculating a distance between an intersection point between a straight line connecting two arbitrary nodes in information of the multiple nodes included in road linear shape information and a perpendicular with respect to a straight line passing a current own vehicle position of a vehicle and an own vehicle position, and determining an approach road to which an own vehicle approaches among the respective roads on the basis of a calculated distance between an intersection point and an own vehicle position and information of a road width included in road linear shape information in an arbitrary road among the respective roads of a traffic intersection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
