Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject apparatus capable of making weft cutting conditions constant and previously preventing cut mistake by changing the action position of a feed yarn cutter according to the crossing position between a weft picked by selection and the subject feed yarn cutter.
CONSTITUTION: In holding a weft 2a or 2b with a rapier 3c while selecting the weft 2a or 2b through a weft selector 10 and picking the weft 2a or 2b into a warp opening 4 and cutting the weft 2a or 2b with a feed yarn cutter 8 movably provided on the feed yarn side for every picking action in a driving apparatus of a feed yarn cutter of a multicolor fragmental loom, the position of feed yarn cutter 8 is controlled through a position control means 11 constituted by combination of a cam mechanism or on-off control circuit and solenoid or combination, etc., of a rotation control circuit, a motor and a feed unit, according to the crossing position between the selected weft 2a or 2b and the feed yarn cutter 8 so as to always become constant cutting conditions, and then, the feed yarn cutter 8 is operated by a driving control means 9 to cut the weft 2a or 2b.
