Abstract:
To provide a driving apparatus for a four-wheel drive vehicle, which can optimally carry out lubrication by oil regardless of a travel condition.SOLUTION: In a four-wheel drive vehicle 10, the output of an engine 11 is transmitted toward a rear wheel axle 13a through a rear propeller shaft 24, and the output of a front drive motor 31 is transmitted toward a front wheel axle 14a through a front propeller shaft 27. A front wheel drive unit 30 having the front drive motor is disposed between a transmission 15 and the rear wheel axle. The front wheel drive unit includes a reduction gear 57, a front wheel transmission 32, and an oil pump 33. The reduction gear amplifies the torque outputted from the front drive motor. The front wheel transmission increases or decreases and transmits the torque amplified by the reduction gear to the front propeller shaft, and has a clutch mechanism 34 for cutting off the front drive motor from the front propeller shaft. The oil pump is disposed between the reduction gear and the front wheel transmission and is driven by the torque transmitted from the reduction gear.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
