The driving assist system loaded in a vehicle including an ecology mode to travel while saving energy includes: a peripheral vehicle travel situation acquisition means acquiring a travel situation of a peripheral vehicle; a display means displaying an image such that the image is superposed on the outside world of the vehicle; a position calculation means (step S112) calculating a prediction arrival position of the vehicle displayed on the display means; a decision means (step S114) deciding whether there is possibility that the vehicle contacts with the peripheral vehicle from the travel situation of the peripheral vehicle obtained by the peripheral vehicle travel situation acquisition means and the prediction arrival position of the vehicle calculated by the position calculation means; and a warning means (step S115) performing a warning when it is decided by the decision means that there is the possibility that the vehicle contacts with the peripheral vehicle.
