Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving assistance system, a driving assistance method, and a computer program, which allow a driver to appropriately perform manipulation to move a vehicle to a guided lane.SOLUTION: A driving assistance system is configured to; identify a guided lane to which a vehicle should be guided; identify a lane-change endpoint by which a lane change to the guided lane should be completed by the vehicle; set up a guidance zone, in which guidance is provided to guide the vehicle to the guided lane, for each lane of a road the vehicle is on based on the identified guided lane and lane-change endpoint; and provide guidance while changing guidance content in stages in accordance with a traveling condition (position) of the vehicle with respect to the guidance zones that have been set up.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
