Abstract:
To further accurately transmit positional information and various sorts of information corresponding to the positional information to a vehicle for driving assistance.SOLUTION: A driving assistance system comprises: a plurality of structures arranged in a row along a road and having different colors from one another at least partially; an imaging unit that is mounted on a vehicle, and captures images of the structures located around the vehicle; an acquisition unit that analyzes the image captured by the imaging unit and acquires an identifier associated with a combination of a position of each structure and the color of each structure for each of a predetermined number of structures; and a vehicle control unit that controls the vehicle using information represented by the identifier acquired by the acquisition unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
