Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving circuit for piezoelectric element with which power collection efficiency is improved, namely, power consumption is reduced, the degree of freedom in charging/discharging timing is improved as well and further, a capacitor for power collection is not required.
SOLUTION: First and second piezoelectric/electrostrictive elements 1 and 2 are provided with first and third charging circuits 3 and 5 as the charging circuits of a first stage and provided with second and fourth charging circuits 4 and 6 as the charging circuits of the next stage. Besides, the both of the charging circuits 3 and 5 of the first stage are also used as the discharging circuits of the first stage and first and second discharging circuits 8 and 9 are provided as the discharging circuits of the next stage. Then, concerning the first and third charging circuits 3 and 5, coils L1 and L2 are interposed serially to the piezoelectric/electrostriction elements 1 and 2 in addition to resistors R1 and R2.
