PURPOSE: To realize downsizing and cost reduction of driving circuit for self- extinguishing element while blocking surge current during simultaneous ON interval of switching MOSFETs.
CONSTITUTION: The driving circuit for self-extinguishing element comprises a circuit 6 for modulating driving signals in high frequency pulse train, a high frequency transformer 5 receiving an output from the driving signal modulation circuit 6 and provided with an intermediate tap on the secondary winding side, a power supply circuit 10 producing positive and negative DC potentials with reference to the intermediate tap of the transformer 5, and a circuit 19 for demodulating the modulated driving signal. The driving circuit receives the demodulated driving signal and outputs positive and negative voltages with reference to the intermediate tap of the transformer 5 thus driving a device 18 to be driven.
