To reduce a shock in a clutch connection of a hybrid vehicle, which travels only by a motor at the time of a start, under idle-up control during filter regeneration.
A driving controller includes an engine, the motor capable of assisting the driving force of the engine, an automatic clutch mechanism capable of making a connection and a disconnection of driving force transmission between the engine and motor, an automatic transmission provided downstream from the motor, a filter collecting particulates in exhaust gas, a control means of controlling operations of those devices. The control means sets idle speed high during a stop, and sets the speed for determining a connection of the clutch mechanism higher during the regeneration of the filter than not during the regeneration while taking an increase in engine speed under the idle up control into consideration.
