Abstract:
To provide a driving device capable of handling an alternative change of inertia in a drive train, and an image forming apparatus.
A driving device 150 includes a drive train in which inertia alternatively changes, a DC motor 101 that drives the drive train, and a control circuit 120 that controls a driver circuit 115 to actuate the DC motor 101. The control circuit 120 determines the inertia of the drive train on the basis of signals from target drive signal generation means 110, and sets control gain for controlling the driver circuit 115 according to the inertia of the drive train.
