Abstract:
To provide a driving device capable of preventing a stepping motor from being out of step when driving a rotary shaft of a conveyance roller by a stepping motor and a brushless motor.SOLUTION: The driving device includes: a stepping motor for transmitting power to a rotary shaft of a conveyance roller; a brushless motor for transmitting power to the rotary shaft of the conveyance roller; a first control unit for controlling operation of the stepping motor so that the stepping motor rotates at a constant speed; and a second control unit for controlling operation of the brushless motor. The second control unit switches control of the brushless motor among assist control in which motive power of the brushless motor assists rotation of the stepping motor according to a conveyance state of a sheet, brake control in which power of the brushless motor prevents the stepping motor from rotating, and neutral control in which power of the brushless motor does not affect the rotation of the stepping motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
