Abstract:
To reduce electric power consumed instantaneously in an exposing head.SOLUTION: A driving device according to an embodiment drives an exposing head in which a plurality of light-emitting elements are arranged one by one in a zigzag shape, which comprises a supply part. The supply part supplies the odd-numbered light-emitting elements with data on pixels which should be exposed by the light-emitting elements and supplies the even-numbered light-emitting elements with data representing non-exposure, in a first period of time in an exposure period corresponding one line, and supplies the odd-numbered light-emitting elements with data representing the non-exposure and supplies the even-numbered light-emitting elements with data on the pixels which should be exposed by the light-emitting elements, in a second period of time in the exposure period corresponding to the one line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
