Abstract:

To expand a fuel cut region in the case of deceleration and the case of braking, and to save fuel consumption by driving an electric motor by power obtained by regeneration during idle rotation.

A motor-generator 3 is supplied with power through an inverter 13 from a battery 15, an engine 1 is started in the case of starting, and power generated by the motor-generator 3 is charged to the battery 15 in the case of normal travelling in the driving device for the internal combustion engine. Fuel supply to the engine 1 is cut while electricity is generted by regenerative braking by the motor-generator 3 in the case of deceleration or braking at that time, and the driving device is controlled so that the aimed number of idle revolution is maintained by supplying the motor-generator 3 with power from the battery 15 when the number of revolution of the internal combustion engine reaches the aimed number of idle revolution or less.
