PURPOSE: To improve oscillation-resistant capacity by providing elastic bodies which support an objective lens holder and have the soft structure for effective dumping in each direction thereto to a driving device for an objective lens.

CONSTITUTION: The objective lens 12 is inserted from above and is fixed into the central hole of the cylindrical objective lens holder 11. A bobbin 14 provided with a focusing coil 20 and a tracking coil 21 is fixed in the upper part of the holder 11. A magnetic circuit consisting of a yoke 15, a magnet 16 and a yoke base 17 for moving the holder 11 in a focusing direction F and a tracking direction T by the current flowing in the coils 20, 21 of the bobbin 14 is further provided thereto. Supporting rubbers 13, 13 are attached to the upper and lower parts of the holder 11 and the movement of the holder in the horizontal tracking direction T is made possible by the current flowing in the vertical direction of the coil 21.
