When an OFF/ON command signal DRVON-N is a level "L", a data terminal DA of an output side of a CMOS inverter 42 becomes a level "H". As a result, a common terminal IN of a print head 13 side also becomes a level "H", and a supply voltage VDD is applied between an anode/cathode of each light emitting thyristor 210. At this point, by selectively putting only a gate of a light emitting thyristor 210 commanded to emit light of light emitting thyristors 210-1 to 210-n into the "L" level by a shift resistor 110, and the thyristor 210 commanded to emit light is turned ON. Since a VDD power source is connected a source of a PMOS 43, and a VDD5 power source higher than the VDD power source is connected to a substrate terminal, a threshold voltage of the PMOS 43 is increased, and oscillation of the driving circuit 41 can be prevented.
