Abstract:
PURPOSE: To drive and bury a new pipe having a length approximately equal to that of a starting shaft.
CONSTITUTION: A pushing plate 21 with a new pipe pushing part 27 is movably provided in a starting shaft 2. Jacks 26 are positioned on the opposite sides of the part 27 of the plate 21, wherein the part 27 is located nearer to a vertical face 2b on the side opposite to driving direction than the jacks 26, so that when the pushing plate 21 is positioned at a retracted stroke end near to the vertical face 2b on the side opposite to driving direction, the distance between the part 27 and a vertical face 2a on the side of driving becomes nearly equal to the size of the starting shaft 2.
