Abstract:
To improve the reliability in decision whether a self-priming pump is performing a self-priming operation or not in a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A driving device (inverter 30) of a self-priming pump of the invention comprises a current detector 32 for detecting the driving current of a variable speed motor variably rotating a westco pump 500. The inverter 30 also comprises a judgement part 33 for deciding whether the westco pump 500 is performing the self-priming operation or the normal operation other than the self-priming operation based on the driving current detected by the current detector 32. On the basis the driving current of the variable speed motor, the decision whether the westco pump 500 is performing the self-priming operation or not is made, so that the reliability in decision can be improved in a simple configuration.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
