Abstract:
PURPOSE: To drive a handrail at the equal speed to a stepping belt and facilitate the maintenance and inspection of a handrail driving means, by traveling a return side handrail through squeezing between a driving roller, under the action of a pressing-down mechanism, by a pressing roller group in contact with the return side handrail.
CONSTITUTION: As for the stepping belt 4 of a movable corridor which is wound on a driving pulley installed at one end part of a truss frame, each supporting roller 27 is revolved by the contact, squeezing the stepping belt 4 by a pressing roller 44,..., and a return side handrail 1a is led on a driving roller 29 which revolves, receiving the turn of the supporting roller 27. A pressing roller 32 arranged on the driving roller 29 is pressed on each driving roller 29, by utilizing the pressing force of a coil spring. Accordingly, a return side handrail 1a is shifted in the reverse direction to a transport side stepping belt 4a, accompanied with the turning drive of the transport side stepping belt 4a, and the transport side handrail 1 is shifted in the same direction to the transport side stepping belt 4a.
