A driving device includes: a stator 3 disposed at the one end side of a fixed shaft 2 and having a superconducting material 31; a support shaft 4 disposed at a tip of the stator 3; a rotor 5 disposed at an outer periphery of the stator 3 and having a normal conduction material 51; an outer cylinder 6 which is connected with the rotor 5, is rotatably supported by the support shaft 4, and houses the stator 3 and the rotor 5; an annular output shaft 7 connected with the outer cylinder 6 and disposed at an outer periphery of the fixed shaft 2; and a driving body 8 connected with the output shaft 7 and rotatably supported by the fixed shaft 2. For example, a propeller 81, a wheel 85, a gear 86, or the like is applied to the driving body 8.
