To provide a driving device of a textile machine, having a simplified control system corresponding to the start and stop of each spindle in the textile machine having the many spindles started and stopped by every spindle.

The driving device has an inverter 21 for operation and an inverter 24 for assistant, and a driving source of each spindle is constituted of an induction synchronous motor 53, 54. Two inverters 21 and 24 are connected to the induction synchronous motors 53 and 54 for each spindle in parallel, and a switching switch 56 for selecting either of two inverters 21 and 24 and connecting a motor 53, 54 of each spindle is installed between the two inverters 21 and 24 and motors 53 and 54 of each spindle. The output frequency of the inverter 24 for the assistant is set to the specified frequency at a stable operation time of the inverter 21 for the operation, and the output voltage of the inverter for the assistant is set so as to be higher than the output voltage of the inverter for the operation so that the motor 53, 54 of at least one spindle may be connected directly to the inverter 24 for the assistant.
